Ahmad Hariri to LBCI: Tripoli events another 7-May scenario
Future Movement Secretary General Ahmad Hariri accused on Thursday Public Security with all its parts to be directly linked to Hezbollah, adding that the technique adopted to arrest Shadi al-Mawlawi is wrong and resembles to a kidnap. He told “Nharkom Said” TV show that a fifth party is entering Tripoli to test the balance of power inside the city.

Hariri noted that the incidents in Tripoli are another 7 May, stressing that the “Future Movement” considers the Lebanese Army as the last chance. “Why Najib Mikati does not cover the LAF inside the city?” he asked.

Hariri pointed that, lately, the media has illustrated Tripoli as a city beyond the State, confirming that the city is not entirely Salafist.

Accordingly, Hariri said that the weapons in Tripoli are personal weapons, stressing that Daher and Kabbara do not support armed groups. He added that some figures are trying to bring back the Syrians to Lebanon, and that Tripoli needs first a socio-economic relief committee and then a political committee.
