Public administration employees to go on strike next Thursday
The League of Public Administration Employees issued on Tuesday a statement, declaring a general strike next Thursday to put pressure on the government to approve the wage scale.
The statement said that they will go on strike to demand the following:
-Approving the wage scale that was discussed by the parliamentary committees, noting the bridging of gap between salaries of public administration employees and other bodies.
-The working hours must remain unchanged since the wage scale is just a correction of salaries that should have been carried out 18 years ago.
-Rejection of Article 37 of the draft salary wage scale under the title of assessment of staff performance.
-Rectification of salaries of employees, mainly the retired ones, contractors and daily workers.
-Rejecting the halt of employment because it represents the abolition of the vital vein that provides the management with abilities and contributes to the activation of its performance.
