Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea said on Saturday that “the other party” is satisfied with the recent events in Tripoli as it is trying to portray the city as a stronghold of terrorists, Salafists, fundamentalists and members of al-Qaeda and to depict the Sunnis in Lebanon as terrorists.

In a statement to a delegation from Arsal, Geagea stressed the importance that the LAF take control of the Tripoli’s security definitively, voicing surprise that security incidents are occurring in the hometown of a prime minister and five ministers.
