Mikati: Measures taken by UAE, Qatar and Bahrain are unjustified
Prime Minister Najib Mikati voiced surprise over the measures taken by the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain who called on their citizens to leave Lebanon. Mikati said that these measures are unjustified, stressing that the security situation in Lebanon is good and that the security incidents were contained. Mikati kindly asked the three countries to reconsider their decisions.

Mikati had contacted several officials at the GCC, to know the reasons behind the statements issued by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs in Qatar, UAE and Bahrain calling on their citizens to leave Lebanon, and not to travel to this country.

Mikati also called Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour who is in Doha, and asked him to follow up on this issue with the Qatari authorities.
