REPORT: Berri says extension of parliament’s mandate is an inevitable poison
Speaker Nabih Berri said on Wednesday that the extension of the parliament’s mandate is an inveitable "poison but better than death."
Berri was quoted as saying after his weekly meeting with MPs in Ain al-Tineh.

"When we agree on a new vote law, we will be able to adjust the length and effects of the extension taking into account the new vote law to hold elections under it," he added.

For his part, MP Ali Fayyad said that Hezbollah will attend Thursday’s cabinet session.

“Vacuum is the worst scenario,” he added.
