REPORT: Who was attending Thursday’s parliamentary session?

The Lebanese parliament is formed of 128 lawmakers with its parliamentary seats equally divided between Christians and Muslims.

However, with the election of MP Michel Aoun as president, the resignation of MP Robert Fadel and the death of MP Bader Wannous, the number of MPs dropped to 125.

The parliamentary session to extend the parliament’s mandate needs the attendance of 65 MPs. Thus, only 35 votes are needed to approve the extension of the parliament’s term.

This report will shed light on the MPs who were attending Thursday’s session and those who were boycotting it, as well as the distribution of votes.
