US Senator Bennett wraps up visit to Lebanon

Colorado's Democratic US senator Michael Bennett concluded on Saturday his visit to Lebanon by meeting with Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Lebanese army Commander Major General Joseph Aoun.

Discussions reportedly touched the bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as the Lebanese-US security cooperation.

The delegation visited also the Bekaa valley and met with Lebanese Army officials.

During the meeting, Senator Bennett reiterated that the US will continue to stand by the Lebanese people and the state’s institutions in order to promote a secure, sovereign and prosperous future for the country.
