Baadba Presidential Palace marks Earth Hour
The Baabda Presidential Palace marked on Saturday the Earth Hour by turning off the lights for one hour.

A statement issued by President Michel Aoun's press office noted that the lights shut off for an hour at 8:30 PM.

The statement noted that the step comes in harmony with a call launched by the NGO G Association to hold a "green day" for Earth Hour.

"It comes from his Aoun's support of conserving the environment and respecting the nature’s system that has been abused by human beings and has purposely deformed the ecosystem as well as the climate, which has caused widespread damage and become a threat to humans on all parts of the earth," the statement added.
