Maronite Patriarch Beshara Boutros Rai said that “there is no shame in admitting failure in case an agreement failed to be reached over the issue of the electoral law and in holding the elections in accordance with the law that is currently in effect while implementing whatever technical extension that is needed to the parliament.”
In his sermon delivered during Sunday’s mass in Bkerke, Rai said that “shame lies in resorting to absolute extension or parliamentary vacuum that will destroy the constitutional institutions.
