State Security arrests Syrian national for belonging to a terrorist organization

The Directorate General of State Security issued on Wednesday the following statement whereby it said that a patrol from the regional Directorate of Baalbek-Hermel in the Directorate General of State Security, in cooperation and coordination with the Regional Directorate of Mount Lebanon, arrested a Syrian national identified as Jamal R. on suspicion of belonging to a terrorist organization.

In the interrogations, he confessed of being involved with several terrorist groups affiliated with the Nusra Front in the attack on the Nahle mountains outskirts.

The statement added that he was arrested upon the reference of the government commissioner and handed over to the Military Public Prosecution by the Army Intelligence Directorate.
