Finance Minister says electricity issue requires a plan rather than deals

Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil stressed Saturday that “the electricity issue needs a plan not a deal,” noting that if a vacuum hits a certain institution, it will reflect on other institutions.”

Speaking from the town of Ansarrieh in the district of Sidon, the minister called for passing a new electoral law that aims at uniting rather than dividing, pointing out that Speaker Nabih Berri’s instructions have always been to be positive in searching for solutions.

 

“We gave always been defending the integrity of the Christians and Muslims in this country and we always considered them citizens equal in rights and obligations,” he added.

 

Commenting on the issue of waste, the finance minister emphasized that the waste crisis has been an important problem that must be tackled with responsibility.
