Plumbly briefs Mikati on UN efforts to ease tensions
UN Special coordinator for Lebanon Derek Plumbly briefed PM Najib Mikati Thursday on the UN efforts to reinforce stability following events in Lebanon.

Plumbly lauded the readiness of the LAF and security forces and the key role they play in controlling security situation.

He also conveyed the UN's concern on the abduction of 11 Lebanese nationals in Aleppo and hoped for their immediate return.

Asked about the Saudi King's letter, Plumbly said he hasn't been informed of its content but said "dialogue should be granted necessary importance and we support re-launching dialogue amid such circumstances."
