Telecommunication Minister Jamal al-Jarrah said that the telecom sector has become the supporting pillar of the Lebanese economy, noting that a decision had been made to reduce the tariffs of internet subscriptions.
During a gathering at the Press Club, al-Jarrah pointed out that “the old internet networks are bad and are currently under repair, while new networks are being established.”
He added that the internet tariffs have been reduced by 90% for some services, adding that this decision aims at serving a wide category of the Lebanese people including the college students.
