Change and Reform bloc Secretary MP Ibrahim Kanaan stressed the importance of the coordination between the Free Patriotic Movement and the Lebanese Forces in several issues, emphasizing the need to continue the discussions in order to reach agreements on all fields.
Following his meeting with the Lebanese Forces chief Samir Geagea in Maarab, Kanaan said that the relations between the LF and FPM is strategic and a long-term one.
Commenting on the call of Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah to resolve the issue of the Syrian refugees with the Syrian government, Kanaan pointed out that their position is very clear in this regard, stressing the need to “sit with the Syrian government to discuss the best means to ensure this goal.”
“We will not accept any international or regional decision to resettle the Syrians in Lebanon, or any decision to keep the refugees in Lebanon,” he stated.
He stressed that their main interest is the country, the people and the land.
