Geagea: Lebanon is worn out because of Syrian refugee influx

Lebanese Forces party leader Samir Geagea said on Thursday that Lebanon is worn out because of the Syrian refugee influx, adding that such a crisis might deteriorate to undesirable consequences.

Geagea’s comments were made during a meeting with media figures in Maarab whereby he noted that the LF submitted a suggestion stating “the handing over to the United Nations a letter calling for the return of the Syrian refugees to the safe zones in Syria.

As for the elections, Geagea stressed that his party is open to “all positive steps,” adding that the electoral alliances are being discussed.
