Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani said Friday that one of the goals of visits and tours is to listen to the concerns of the people and institutions, and to allow for integration between the state and the citizens.
On the hospitals sector, Hasbani said during a tour on western Bekaa, that they have launched a strategic plan for the health sector in Lebanon in order to preserve Lebanon’s position on the regional and international level in terms of safety and quality of health services in general.
The minister started his tour at Azhar al-Bekaa where he was welcomed by Telecommunications Minister Jamal al-Jarrah.
Hasbani stressed that Lebanon ranks among the first according to world reports on health services in the Arab world, emphasizing the need to provide the Lebanese citizen with a full and comprehensive health coverage.
For his part, Minister al-Jarrah deemed the visit “a positive step.”
The tour also included a visit to Kherbet Kanaker hospital in western Bekaa, where Hasbani stressed that the corrupt and negligent employees will be held accountable while all the productive employees who work to serve the people will be rewarded.
