Deputy Prime Minister, Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani referred the director of Khirbet Qanafar governmental hospital Dr. Raymond Hanna Massaad to the public prosecution on charges of committing medical violations considered criminal offense.
The decision comes after several administrative and medical complaints were submitted before the Health Ministry against Massaad. Consequently, he was summoned to the ministry where it has been found that he committed grave medical violations, including performing orthopedic surgeries without meeting the minimum general safety and hygiene standards required to use prostheses, causing medical complications with a number of patients leading to physical damage.
