Three injured in exploding iPhone

Three people have been injured after an iPhone exploded in Chechen capital Grozny.

The blast occurred as a repairman in the shop was connecting it to a charger, the source told RIA Novosti.

The phone was found by police, who then took it to a repair shop in the Chechen capital.

"As a result of the explosion, three people were injured, the phone repairman and two police officers,” he said. All three were hospitalized.

Officials believe the iPhone was fitted with explosives. An investigation is underway.
