On the 72nd Lebanese Army Day, President Michel Aoun stressed that soldiery is not a job, but a message, noting that when a soldier faces a danger, he would not be doing it for a salary, but to protect the land and the people, even if it costs him his life.
President Aoun emphasized that the Lebanese army and the security apparatuses are in utmost readiness to face terrorism.
“Your graduation comes as the military institution faces major challenges threatening the country,” Aoun addressed the graduating officers at the Fayadieh military academy where the ceremony marking Lebanese army Day is held.
