PM Hariri hopes Eid ends division and divergence between Lebanese

Prime Minister Saad Hariri congratulated on Thursday the Lebanese people in general and all Muslims and Arabs in particular on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, hoping that the upcoming holidays will advent once all the black clouds that darkened the skies of the fellow Arab countries disappear.

“The happiness felt for the holiday was almost complete this year with the victory of the Lebanese army over terrorist groups and its success to evacuate their bastions from the Bekaa, if only it wasn’t accompanied with the sad atmosphere that enveloped our country due to the declaration of the death of the abducted soldiers who gave their life with their fellow martyrs for the sake of the pride of the country and the safety of its citizens.” He said.

“We strongly hope that the holiday marks an opportunity to end the tensions and the disagreements in our country and a lesson for us all to avoid the factors of division and divergence and to work in order to meet the aspirations of the Lebanese people,” he added.

PM Hariri also apologized for not accepting holiday wishes because of the current situation, hoping “to witness next year’s holiday in a world of stability and peace.”
