PM Hariri: Hezbollah is not in control of Lebanon
Prime Minister Saad Hariri said on Friday that the Lebanese Armed Forces played the biggest role in freeing the outskirts of the border towns from terrorism.
He also revealed that he and President Michel Aoun had allowed Islamic State militants to “cross the border” into Syria, while noting that “their transfer in buses to eastern Syria was the decision of Hezbollah and the Syrians.”
Hariri’s comments were made in an interview with Le Monde daily whereby he asserted that the battles were very well prepared.
As for the return of the Syrian refugees to Syria, Hariri noted that the displaced Syrians will not return to Syria as long as the Syrian regime still exists.
This as Hariri denied that Hezbollah “is in control of Lebanon.”

“This is not true. Hezbollah has a presence -- it is present in the government and it garners support in the country -- but this does not mean that Hezbollah is in control of entire Lebanon,” Hariri said.
