The Minister of State for anti-Corruption Affairs Nicolas Tueini hoped Wednesday in the opening of the hunting season exhibition that all the hunters will abide by the Ministry of Environment’s laws and to obtain statutory licenses for hunting and to have registered weapons at the Ministry of Interior.
He also demanded to refrain from hunting the passing birds and the ones that are prohibited from hunting, referring to the incident of heavy shooting that happened Tuesday in Dhour al-Shouweir.
The minister called on Dhour al-Shouweir’s Mayor Elie Sawaya, the commander of the outpost and the citizens to prevent such uncivilized behavior that opposes the philosophy of hunting and the applicable laws in force, under penalty of prosecution.
