Prime Minister Saad Hariri confirmed that the investigations are not vindictive or vicious, but for the purpose of discovering the truth of what happened in the previous period, and said that “results of the investigations should not be anticipated, accusations must not be pointed at anyone and the investigations should not be exploited in politics and media.”
PM Hariri also declared during the Supreme Defense Council meeting that “we triumphed, but unfortunately we cannot agree on this victory and it’s like some people would have wanted us to lose.”
Hariri praised the accomplishment of the Defense Minister, the army Commander, the officers and the soldiers, affirming that it is the right of the Lebanese people to hold their heads up high for the achievement of their army.
