Change and Reform: Dealing with displacement issue must follow victory

Justice Minister Salim Jreissati stressed that “the natural transition that follows the victory is resolving the issue of the displacement, which is considered a major national issue and could be the most dangerous after terrorism.”

Following the weekly meeting of the Change and Reform bloc, Jreissati stressed the importance of judicial investigation when the criminal factors are present, including abduction, captivity and murder of soldiers.

Commenting on the pay scale and tax law, the minister noted that the elections controlled the appeal presented against the tax law, adding that they were able to impose taxes on sectors previously exempt.

He also reiterated their constant rejection to the increase of the Value Added Tax, noting that every budget draft law must be constitutionally immune.

On the electoral law, Jreissati insisted on reforms to be applied on the law, and not restricting voters to any measures.
