The cabinet decided Thursday to return the electricity file to the tenders’ administration after insistence from the minister of the Lebanese Forces, the Progressive Socialist Party and the Marada Movement, and to start a new tender on Friday while into consideration the remarks of the cabinet.
The cabinet also appointed a committee to supervise the parliamentary committee chaired by Nadim Abdel Malek.
As for the sub-election, Interior Minister Nouhad al-Mashnouq stressed that it was not discussed due to lack of time.
The ministers agreed to hold an extraordinary session on Sunday evening to continue discussing agenda.
Information Minister Melhem al-Riachi explained that the decision to cancel the festival of victory came due to lack of time to complete the logistical and security arrangements.
