Erslan calls for effective participation in national dialogue

MP Talal Erslan urged all political parties on Wednesday to answer the president’s call for dialogue which he described as “the last opportunity to resolve the current differences and to rise above narrow interests for the sake of the country and the Lebanese people ‘who are fed up with wars and battles [that claim to defend] the sect’s dignity’.”

Erslan stressed the importance of national dialogue called for by President Michel Suleiman, adding that “coexistence, containing strife and preserving Lebanon’s stability” should motivate different Lebanese politicians to show effective participation in the dialogue.

These efforts come with the framework of “rescuing” Lebanon and steering the citizens clear of strife, as he said.
