President Michel Aoun tackled at the beginning of the cabinet session the positions issued following the decision of the Constitutional Council to cancel the tax law, saying that “there is a need to resolve this issue through the proposals that will be discussed.”
On the refugees, Aoun said that during his foreign visits, he received international understanding towards Lebanon’s position.
The president explained the issues he discussed during the meetings he held in New York, concerning the refugees and the Lebanese army’s achievement in liberating the Lebanese territories.
On his visit to Paris, he stated that agreement was reached to hold 3 conferences, one to ensure assistance to the Lebanese army, the second concerning the economic sector and the third for development.
