Prime Minister Saad Hariri said Thursday that a new situation came up with the decision of the Constitutional Council, noting that the cabinet stands before numerous options, “either the taxes will be included in the budget, or they will be amended in separate laws.”
At the beginning of the cabinet session, Hariri said that some officials’ positions are not solutions, stressing the need to discuss the options and take appropriate decisions.
“There have been positive indications over the past 8 months and the situation is as bad as some people are saying,” he noted.
He also tackled the talks he held with Governor of Banque du Liban and Finance Minister.
