Salameh to LBCI: Deposits will increase by 8% during 2012
The governor of the Banque Du Liban Riyad Salameh stressed on Thursday that the latest developments that Lebanon has witnessed did not have a negative effect on the exchange market, noting that the interests will keep its rates during this year.          

Salameh told “Kalam el Nas” TV show that there an 8% raise in the deposits willtake place during the year 2012. He pointed that the deficit should not exceed 3 Billion USD.          

Salameh noted that Banque du Liban taked into consideration the delay in passing the budget law, saying that he has some proposals that could help in increasing the confidence in the bank sector.
