Head of Public Drivers' Union Bassam Tleis said that the unions and syndicates of the transport sector decided to declare general strike and to hold a demonstration in coordination with the General Labor Confederation, noting that the dates will be announced later.
He regretted the authorities’ failure to implement the agreements reached with the support of President Michel Aoun.
Tleis reiterated the call to prosecute every person driving a cab without a license, rejecting any decision to impose fees on gasoline.
