Vice President of Economy Ministry's Consumer Protection Directorate Nada Neemeh said that the taxes are calculated within the production cost even if some products are exempt from the tax increase.
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Neemeh called on all those who wish to file a complaint regarding the chaos of price increase, to call on the hotline reserved for the Consumer Protection Directorate: 01-750650.
For her part, Director General of the Economy Ministry Dr. Alia Abbas called on the consumers to monitor the prices in their markets, urging the citizens to contact the Economy Ministry on the hotline 1739 in case of any violation.
