The Israeli leadership used Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s resignation as a pretext to escalate its campaign against Iran and Hezbollah; calling for placing Israel at the frontline against the presence of Iran in Syria, Lebanon and the region.
In this regard, Israel returned its norther borders with Lebanon and Syria to the top of its priorities, taking advantage of Hariri’s resignation and its repercussion on the Lebanese scene to step up its escalation.
