Mufti Shaar: Dangerous reasons behind Hariri’s resignation

Mufti of Tripoli and North Lebanon Sheikh Malek Shaar said on Friday that reasons behind the resignation of Prime Minister Saad Hariri are dangerous.

Mufti Shaar’s comments were made during his Friday’s sermon whereby he called on the Lebanese state to deploy efforts to find solutions for the reasons behind the resignation.

He also noted that no political party should feel itself victorious, whether through “its foreign affiliation or through the possession of weapons.”

He concluded by saying that Lebanon passed through hardships in the past, adding however that the wisdom of its leaders will preserve the country’s peace and stability.
