REPORT: Lebanon holds 15th annual Beirut marathon

Lebanon held on Sunday morning its 15th edition of Beirut Marathon with the participation of a large number of local and International athletes, sports enthusiasts and spectators.

First Lady Nadia Aoun attended the Beirut marathon.

This as Minister of Defense Yaacoub Sarraf participated in the marathon whereby he reassured the Lebanese citizens that the security situation in the country is good.

For his part, Change and Reform bloc MP Simon Abi Ramia also participated in the marathon and told LBCI that resigned Prime Minister Saad Hariri is being held hostage in Saudi Arabia, calling on his return.

On Saturday, President Michel Aoun met with a delegation from the Beirut Marathon at the Baabda Palace whereby he called on participants to “run under the slogan of resigned Prime Minister Saad’s return to Lebanon to confirm solidarity with him.”
