The Criminal Court in Beirut, headed by Judge Tareq al-Bitar issued the verdict in the case of George al-Rif killing, sentencing the accused Tareq Yateem to death and acquitting his friend Lynn Haidar.
George al-Rif was killed in July, 2015, in a road rage attack that occurred on the backdrop of a traffic incident between him and another driver, identified as Tarek Yateem, who stabbed the victim repeatedly leaving him in a critical condition before passing away one day later.
