Faisal calls for more attention to Syria’s situation
Saudi Arabia Foreign Minister, Prince Saud al Faisal called on Tuesday for giving the situation in Syria more attention, as violence continue to be committed in the country. He asked the Gulf Cooperation Council to seek a fast solution to the crisis, enabling the people to defend themselves against the Government’s killing machine.  The Foreign Minister also expressed less of hope regarding Annan's plan.

During the ordinary meeting of GCC foreign ministers in Jeddah on Tuesday, Faisal postponed the discussion of reactions and remarks regarding the council’s transition into a union to September.

On the other hand, Faisal called on Gulf States to participate in the “Donor’s conference” which is expected to be held in Riyadh at the end of this month. This conference aims at mobilizing further assistance to Yemen in hopes of restoring security and stability.
