Hariri heads Future Movement meeting

Prime Minister Saad Hariri headed on Tuesday the weekly meeting of the Future Movement at the Bayt al-Wasat in Beirut.

During the meeting, the movement praised Hariri’s stance of waiting before submitting his resignation in order to hold deliberations.

The movement reiterated the need to abide by the self-dissociation policy in order to avoid being dragged to the regional crisis.

Hariri shocked Lebanon on November 4 by resigning from the premiership in a statement from Saudi Arabia. His resignation, however, has not yet been approved.

On Momday, Hariri that Hezbollah must stop interfering in regional conflicts and accept a neutral policy to bring an end to the country's political crisis.

On another note, the movement condemned the “horrific massacre” carried out in a mosque in Egypt that killed hundreds of Egyptians during Friday’s prayers.

A mosque was packed with hundreds of worshipers for Friday prayers in Egypt's North Sinai when gunmen fired randomly inside it. More than 300 people were killed in the worst bloodshed of its kind in Egypt's modern history.

No group has claimed responsibility.
