Berri: We are in front of a new Balfour Declaration

Visitors of Speaker Nabih Berri quoted him on saying on Wednesday that he is relieved over what happened during Tuesday’s Cabinet session.

Berri considered that agreement over the dissociation policy will reactivate the work of the state’s institutions in order to deal with the vital issues, mainly the oil and gas sectors.

As for Trump’s announcement that the United States recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and will move its embassy there, Berri said that “we are in front of a new Balfour Declaration that paves the way for a deal that will come at the expenses of the Palestinian Cause and the Palestinian people.”
