French Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean Yves Le Drian stressed on Friday the keenness on Lebanon’s sovereignty, calling on all Lebanese parties to not interfere in external conflicts and to abide by the disassociation policy.
At the conclusion of the summit held by the International Group for Lebanon in Paris, Le Drian clarified that there are “relations of trust with Saudi Arabia.”
He also pointed that another summit will be held in Rome to mobilize the potentials to reinforce the role of the Lebanese Army and the Internal Security Forces.
For his part, Prime Minister Saad Hariri declared that there is unanimous decision to keep Lebanon’s stability, ensuring that the parliamentary elections will be held on their due time.
He noted that this summit emphasizes on the country’s political stability. Hariri also stressed that abiding by the disassociation policy was a unanimous decision and Lebanon “will do its part in this regard, considering that the lesson of this decision would be in the results.”
