France calls for respecting Lebanon’s sovereignty, welcomes LAF deployment in Arsal

The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed Thursday that France called for respecting Lebanon’s sovereignty, after the fierce clashes that erupted between Syrian soldiers and residents of a Lebanese town located along the border with Syria.

The ministry’s spokesperson Bernard Valero said that France strongly condemns the new Syrian attack on Lebanon that killed on person and wounded many others.

Valero said that the French Foreign Ministry calls for respecting Lebanon’s sovereignty and welcomes the LAF’s deployment in Arsal which contributed to restoring calm.
