REPORT: Taxi driver is suspected killer of British woman – security forces

The Internal Security Forces Information Branch arrested a Lebanese taxi driver identified as T. H. for being the main suspect in killing British citizen Rebecca Dykes.

Investigations with the suspect revealed that he picked up the victim from Mar Mikhael street and tried to sexually assaulting her before killing her and throwing all her belongings in a waste dump.

The security forces managed to track the killer through a phone call between the victim and the taxi driver.

Rebecca Dykes is a British diplomat working at the British embassy in Beirut.

Her body was found on Saturday along the Metn expressway with clear evidence of strangulation.
