REPORT: Meeting about waste crisis held at Grand Serail

A meeting was held on Tuesday at the Grand Serail for the ministerial committee tasked with finding solutions to the waste crisis.

The meeting was presided by Prime Minister Saad Hariri.

Following the meeting, Minister Hussein al-Hajj Hassan said that the expansion of the two landfills was discussed.

For his part, Minister Cesar Abi Khalil said that he suggested during the meeting a draft law that enables the municipalities to produce electricity out of garbage.
