Jumblatt: The current phase is dangerous, reminds me of the 1982 occupation

National Struggle Front leader MP Walid Jumblatt said Sunday that the current phase in Lebanon was similar to the year 1982. “We are now at a dangerous stage that reminds me of the 1982 Israeli occupation”, he said.

After presenting his condolences to the family of former MP and Minister Ghassan Tueni, Jumblatt said that the country is the scene of a major dispute, adding that concerned parties must organize the dispute by peaceful means instead of fighting in Bab el-Tebbaneh and Baal Mohsen where the dispute could expand.
