Hekmat Youssef released by Wadi Khaled residents as a gesture of goodwill
Wadi Khaled residents handed their "guest" Hikmat Youssef Khalil over to the heads of el-Drayb municipalities as a gesture of goodwill on Monday. The region's residents detained Khalil on Sunday in retaliation for the abduction of Sleiman al-Ahmad and his transfer to Syria on Sunday.

A lunch banquet is being held in his honor in the presence of the region’s officials. The heads of el-Drayb municipalities are expected to escort him to his town “Ain al-Zeit”.

The head of the Lebanese-Syrian Council Nasri khoury had told LBCI that he was pursuing the issue of the kidnapped Sleiman al-Ahmad who will be handed over to the Lebanese Army.  He stressed that the kidnapped will be handed over to the LAF.

Five others including Syrian workers are still detained in Wadi Khaled, in retaliation for the abduction of Sleiman al-Ahmad.
