Hariri from Ankara: Lebanon wants to guarantee Syrian refugees’ safe return

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri stressed that Lebanon wants to guarantee the safe return of the Syrian refugees to their country, noting that he thanked Turkey for handing over one of the suspects in Sidon’s bombing.

Hariri’s remarks came during a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Binali Yildirim in Ankara.

 

For his part, Yildirim said that implementing Lebanon’s neutral policy is very important; pointing out that discussions tackled the Lebanese-Turkish ties and matters that interest both countries.

 

The Turkish PM noted that their aim is to develop the Lebanese infrastructure and to contribute in achieving stability.

 

He stated that briefed Hariri on the details of the Turkish operation in the town of Afrin.
