Prime Minister Saad Hariri declared Tuesday that they chose in this government to work and achieve a significant change in the country, noting that the fiber optics project is very important for Lebanon.
During the launching of the project, Hariri said that “the government’s duty is to serve the citizens, since the politicians are the employees of the people.”
The PM said that Lebanon needs such a technology since it creates a great number of jobs, stressing that “he will not listen to those who seek obstruction, but instead work will continue until success is reached.”
For his part, Telecommunications Minister Jamal al-Jarrah stressed that “today, they are pursuing the dream and journey of martyr Rafiq Hariri,” pointing out that the telecom sector is key for prosperity.
He emphasized that the Lebanese people will enjoy an unprecedentedly fast internet.
