Before 74 state representatives, Lebanon’s Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil delivered his speech during the meeting of the countries participating in the coalition against the Islamic State.
In his speech, Bassil said that the Islamic State’s defeat in Lebanon was based on three foundations including a national army, a diversified and moderate society and a successful preemptive policy for dismantling terrorist networks.
Some Lebanese were not entirely satisfied with the minister’s remark, slamming after he failed to mention the role played by Hezbollah in the fight against terrorism.
