Pharaon: If it was serious, Geagea would have participated in dialogue

MP Michel Pharaon said on Thursday that the dialogue table is being used as political cover for the army, noting that the existing government is unable to guarantee such cover; instead it is involving the army in dangers and conflicts. Pharaon added that the reason behind this matter is well known, and clearly stated by MP Walid Jumblat when he said that this government was a conspiracy prepared by Syrian President Bashar Assad and PM Najib Mikati against the Qatari leadership.

After meeting with Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea, Pharaon said: “we have waited years for the issue of Hezbollah weapons to be raised on dialogue table; we do not mind waiting 12 more days. If it was serious, I think that Geagea is ready to compromise and participate in the next dialogue session”.
