Government coop employees continue open-ended sit-in
Employees of the Cooperative of Government Employees continued their sit-in for the second day in a row on Friday after employees resumed their work in a gesture of goodwill. In protest of the cabinet’s failure to approve their demands, they held an open-ended sit-in outside the Central Administration and all branches and offices across Lebanon until their rightful demands are met.
Employees in Zahle and Baalbek stopped receiving hospitality scholarships applications until demands are met.

In a statement, the employees explained that their sit-in will remain open outside all of the branches and offices to condemn the cabinet’s failure to ratify the demands that were on the agenda of its last session. “The sit-in was suspended based on the position voiced by different parties in the government”, the statement added.
