United Nations satellite imagery showed imagery collected on Friday (March 2) compared with imagery acquired on February 23 showing recent damage in a 17.1 square km area in Syria's besieged enclave of eastern Ghouta.
A Rapid Damage Assessment was conducted on the area, which was divided into cells individually analyzed. The analysis showed 17 percent of the cells were impacted with new severe damage and 22 percent with minor new damage.
Imagery showed buildings completely destroyed as well as visible craters and debris.
